Cinnamon Chocolate Fondue

This rich and decadent dessert (a little goes a long way) is adapted from a recipe by Cat Cora. Dip fresh and dried fruits to add even more antioxidants to those found in 75 percent dark chocolate.
Cinnamon Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients

1 cup of heavy cream
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
12 ounces quality 75 percent dark chocolate chopped into small pieces
½ teaspoon cinnamon or 1 teaspoon orange extract or liqueur

Directions

1. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, add the cream and vanilla extract. Bring to a gentle boil then reduce to a simmer.

2. Add the chocolate, remove from heat, and stir until melted completely. Sprinkle in the cinnamon or the orange extract or liqueur, stir well, and pour into a warm fondue pot.

3. Serve with fresh fruits— try banana chunks, Granny Smith apple slices, strawberries, and dried fruits like apricots and pears.
