Chunky Salsa

The consumption of hot peppers containing capsaicin augment energy expenditure and enhance fat oxidation.

Ingredients: 

4 large tomatoes, chopped
½ red onion, chopped
1 seeded jalapeño, chopped (leave in the seeds if you
like it hot)
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
½ cup chopped cilantro
1 finely chopped carrot
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
8 ounces baked tortilla chips

Directions: 

1. Mix the first nine ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Serve with tortilla chips.
