1. Handcrafted by Ugandan women, these gorgeous BeadforLife bracelets ($5-$15; www.beadforlife.org) are made from glass and recycled magazine pages. When you buy one, you help these women find affordable housing, send their children to school, and improve their health education.

2. Planet Dog (www.planetdog.com) donates 100 percent of the sales of the recyclable, nontoxic glow-in-the-dark Orbee-Tuff Glow for Good ball ($10) to the Planet Dog Foundation, a not-for-profit that funds programs to train Seeing Eye dogs and search-and-rescue canines. Another popular item is the fast-drying Everywear leash and collar set ($8-$14)

3. Made with natural pine and organic flaxseed, Aveda Air Control Hair Spray ($23; www.aveda.com) won't weigh down your hair--or the planet. For each hairspray sold, Aveda will help finance a Native American-owned and -operated wind turbine project in South Dakota.
