Whole Grains Buyer's Guide
Use this list to find healthy whole-grain breads and cereals at the supermarket.

When looking for whole grain foods at the grocery store, it's easy to get seduced (or confused) by brands that trumpet "wheat" or "natural" or "stone ground" on their labels. Unless they contain 100 percent whole grain flour, these "wheat" brands are made from refined, processed grains that have been stripped of essential fiber and rich nutrients. Always look at the ingredient list to make sure whole grain flour is at the top and check the fiber content to ensure it has at least 2.5 grams per serving.
