Del Monte has moved from the canned-food aisle to the organic section: The company just released a line of certified organic pickles with familiar names like Sweet Bread & Butter Chips and Kosher Dill Whole Pickles. It's always exciting when a big brand goes green, but there's another reason to applaud Del Monte: The business partnered with America's Second Harvest, a hunger-relief organization, and will donate roughly 500,000 pounds of canned fruits and vegetables each year to soup kitchens and food banks across the country.
