Grow Your Own Fruits, Vegetables & Herbs

Pick up small basil plants from a garden store and transplant them into your garden or a larger container when frosts are over. Replant at the same depth as your plants were in their starter pots. Keep basil in a warm spot in direct sunlight. Encourage growth by clipping off any flower buds that form. For fuller flavor, let the soil dry between waterings.
