Stand tall with your feet together, arms at your sides. Place your left foot against your right inner thigh above the knee, or place it against the inside of your right shin; turn your left knee out to the side, keeping your hips even, squared to the front, and in line with your shoulders. Press your left foot against your right leg to help maintain balance. Press your hands together in prayer position, placing your thumbs on your breastbone, and pull your lower belly up and in, drawing your tailbone slightly downward. Hold the pose for 6 breaths on each side.
