Bring your hands to your hips. Elongate your spine by lifting out of your waist and tucking your chin slightly, extending through the crown of your head. Inhale and sweep your left arm out to the side in a wide arc and raise it overhead. Lengthen your left side by pressing your fingertips to the sky. Take a few breaths, feeling the sensations as your body adjusts to the pose. Take a deep breath in. As you breathe out, gently press your left hip out to the side and your right hand into your right hip. Keeping your hips and shoulders facing forward, allow your torso to bend to the right, stretching the entire left side. Hold for a few moments, breathing into the stretch. To release, inhale and slowly bring your torso back to center. Exhale and lower your left arm, bringing your left hand onto your hip. Take a long breath in, then out. When you feel ready, repeat on the opposite side.
