Kale Lemonade

This smoothie keeps well when strained and is a good one to make a few hours ahead in preparation for a sunny afternoon.

Ingredients: 

3 large kale leaves, thick center rib removed
1 red apple, chopped (and peeled if desired)
Juice of 2 lemons
3/4 - 1 cup filtered water
3 drops Young Living Essential Oil of Lemon*

*Not all essential oils are safe to be ingested. Check the label to ensure that it is an approved supplement and safe for consumption.

Directions: 

Blend all ingredients and add more lemon juice or water to your taste. For the kids I strain this one so it's less chewy and fibrous. The adults should take advantage of all the fiber and enjoy as is.
