Silence has merited consideration for eons, from the first yogis to our modern times. Mahatma Gandhi proffered, “In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.” Fabricating a vision board with silence and with intention is a way to access our own deep Truth. Deepak Chopra confirms this undertaking: “Silence is the great teacher, and to learn its lessons you must pay attention to it. There is no substitute for the creative inspiration, knowledge, and stability that come from knowing how to contact your core of inner silence.”
To help maintain this stillness after your grounding practice, light a candle and diffuse some therapeutic grade essential oils. Very high quality essential oils that contain high levels of sesquiterpenes can oxygenate the brain’s limbic system, the pituitary and pineal glands. When oxygen is increased in these areas, higher levels of endorphins, neurotransmitters and antibodies can be secreted. There are oil blends with names like “Into the Future” and “Magnify Your Purpose” that are meant to assist with this kind of process, along with straight Sandalwood and Frankincense. These oils can brighten the room and even cross the blood-brain barrier therefore raising your energetic biofrequency. Try it and see if you experience an immediate, noticeable difference in how you feel.
Once you’re settled, grounded, still, and inhaling deeply, spread out your collection of various cutouts so you can see them all. Before reaching for your glue stick though, set an intention. Creating an intention gives this process significance and direction, and imbues it with a certain power. Purposefully setting an intention highlights something for the universe and asks it to listen up and take heed. Everything is energy including our thoughts and the universe responds in kind to this energy, according to quantum physics. Maybe you've noticed this already: Have you ever begun thinking about something and then suddenly you read about it in an online article or hear it from a friend? That isn’t an accident! That is the universe conspiring with you. Your intention could be to create abundance, or gain clarity, or get that new job, or to move forward on a new path with conviction, confidence and intuitive guidance. What we put out is what we get back. So make your intention positive, forwarding, clear and personal.
Wayne Dyer asserts, “Our intention creates our reality. The power of intention is the power to manifest, to create, to live a life of unlimited abundance, and to attract into your life the right people at the right moments.” Sandy Forster, an entrepreneur who went from welfare to millionaire and prosperity coach, wholeheartedly agrees: “When you set an intention, when you commit, the entire universe conspires to make it happen.”
