Black Sesame Smoothie

This smoothie is so scrumptious it tastes like full-fledged dairy ice cream! It's the perfect afternoon pick-me-up that seems decadent but is still nourishing.

1/3 cup black sesame seeds, ground finely to a powder
1/2 avocado
4 medjool dates
1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk (or other non-dairy milk)
3 handfuls of ice

Grind the sesame seeds first to a fine powder, either in a VitaMix or a clean coffee grinder. Then blend all ingredients together. Adjust to taste by adding more dates or some honey for sweetness, some water to thin it, etc.
