Skin Type A: Vata
Vata skin has small pores and a matte surface. It is most adversely affected by winter cold and dryness, when it can get rough, itchy and flaky. It’s also prone to premature wrinkling and shows stress easily. Vata skin is delicate and tends to lose tone and plumpness prematurely unless nourished on a regular basis. to treat vata skin, oils like sesame and sweet almond and aromas like geranium, ginger, lemon and vanilla are very healing. buy them in essential oil form and add a few drops to a warm bath, or, after a shower, massage them into your skin with a carrier oil such as organic sesame. You can gently heat the oil before applying it by running the bottle under hot water for a few minutes.
